The Christmastime wake-up call is etched in Marjory Motiaytis' mind. "It was 4:30 in the morning," Motiaytis said of the rooster's cry. A Waukegan police officer confiscated the animal, which appeared to be in good health and may have been a pet, she said. Where it came from remains a mystery.
